Hon. Chas. E.
Vasaly,
Superintendent,
State Reformatory,
St. Cloud.
Dear
Sir:
Replying to your letter of June 5th in re the Hammerberg
case our recollection is that Mr. Ruegemer took a not to the effect that you
were to write to Rev. Carl J. Silfversten, Pastor, Bethel Lutheran Church, Cor.
53rd Ave. W. and Ramsey St., Duluth, Minn, in regard to employment
for Hammerberg.
This gentleman was so interested in getting Hammerberg
paroled, that it was thought he probably would help in the matter of employment
as he stated in his letter that there was now more and more work opening up in
Duluth.
Yours very truly,
Ella S.
Hudgins
Secretary to the Chairman.
