Training/Experience: Our team has decades of professional experience in historic preservation planning and consulting, with special expertise in state and federal historic tax credit certification for all types of commercial and residential projects, both big and small. All of our associates meet the Secretary of the Interior’s Historic Preservation Professional Qualification Standards. Our Chicago office leads the Midwest and West Coast regions, while our eastern and southern offices together have extensive experience with National Register and local designations and incentive programs in nearly every state across the country.

The professionals from MacRostie Historic Advisors (MHA) joined Ryan LLC in 2022 to create the preeminent HTC team in the U.S. We provide preservation consulting services on a nationwide basis to developers, lenders and investors active in the rehabilitation of historic properties. Our services include certification for federal and state historic tax credits, documentation for National Register listing and local designations, and technical assistance for review and compliance projects.
