Museum Manners
Minnesota History Center and Mill City Museum
- Use indoor voices.
- Walk in the museum.
- Respect the museum exhibits.
- Students must stay with chaperone at all times.
- Food and drink must stay in designated areas.
- Use only pencils in the exhibits.
- Respect those in your group and other visitors.
- Please turn cell phone ringers to vibrate during lessons and museum programs.
Historic Fort Snelling
- Students must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Students cannot wander on their own without an adult.
- Walk and stay with your group to ensure everyone stays safe.
- Be respectful of staff, each other, your chaperones, other visitors and site wildlife.
- Stay on the designated paths and trails through the restored prairie.
- While in the visitor center, use indoor voices so everyone can hear and learn.
- No food or open liquids are allowed in the exhibit.
- Protect historic objects by only touching when a staff member says it's okay.
- Do not climb walls or buildings and do not throw objects.
- Students must be accompanied by an adult to enter the gift shop.
- There may be separate scheduled tours taking place on your field trip day. These are not part of the field trip program, so please be respectful of these groups and do not join their tours.
